Dear Jazz Friends
A short message this time!
First of all, thanks to all my new subscribers as well as my long-standing supporters. It would not happen without you!
Secondly, a big thank you to everyone who came to my SpeakEasies since the turn of the year. Friendly, enthusiastic sell-out audiences, lovely, varied venues, and of course it was a huge pleasure for me to accompany my top-flight guests. Up next: the marvelous Ben Cummings, at Sherborne on 20 May.
This coming week is a busy one for Sunset Cafe. It's our always enjoyable monthly session at the Ropemakers on Monday. On Wednesday we've been invited to perform a concert to celebrate the completion of major renovations at St Benedict's Church, Glastonbury. And on Friday, we're at Cossington, near Bridgwater - a great village hall, plenty of parking, and host to the BD Jazz Club which under Diane's excellent leadership presents fine bands every month. Look it up!
